Our GB Spring Clean cartoon competition winners

Our GB Spring Clean cartoon competition winners

Our GB Spring Clean cartoon competition winners

Back in January, as a part of the Great British Spring Clean, we launched an art competition for primary schools. We are delighted to announce the winners.

Not all super heroes wear capes - two of our litter heroes are one man and his dog – Wayne and Koda. This intrepid duo are walking the whole coastline of Britain, picking up litter the entire way.

To celebrate them, and help raise awareness of our Great British Spring Clean, our art competition asked children to create ‘super hero’ cartoon characters of Wayne and Koda battling the evil genius, Lord Litter, who is trying to take over the country with his untidiness.

We received nearly 700 brilliant entries overall, from schools across the country. Wayne (with a little help from Koda) chose the winners. He said he loved seeing the pictures and it really gave him a boost on his journey. The twelve winning pictures are below, and we'll be turning them into a calendar soon.

Congratulations to our winners and thank you to everyone who got involved in the competition.
